Lego Pirate Ship

Lego pirate ship With over 71 sets produced "lego Pirates" is a theme first seen in 1989, and continues today through the Pirates of The Caribbean series. The pirates series has been super popular for young and older buccaneers, produced in the classic mini figure, Duplo and +4 size / scale, with great characters such as captain's Redbeard and Brickbeard, Admiral and Blackjack Hawkins. For me though I loved helping my little ones build the pirate ships, I never needed much encouragement to get down and help with the Lego role playing...

Types of Lego Pirate Ship

There are many fantastic types of Lego pirates ships from the modern Lego Pirates of the Caribbean "Black Pearl" to the highly collectable Lego Pirates Imperial Flagship.

My favorite Lego pirate ship is Captain Redbeard's Black Sea Barracuda, a really fun and easy set to build, that also floats, and can have a motor added if you feel real adventurous!

Lego Pirate Ship Prices

If your looking to buy new current sets, your shopping world is your oyster, as a new Lego pirate ship will be sold by all good retailers, many of which have online stores. Amazon is a great place to start, as you'll get the chance to read reviews by previous buyers of Lego pirate ships. Ebay is also a great place to find a potential Lego pirate ship bargain, as both new and used Lego sets are available.

There is a wide range of Lego pirate ship prices as some of the used ships sold on eBay can often be great value, sold by people who may have grown out of Lego (I can't believe that can ever happen!). Lego ship prices may start at under $10 dollars, though it's worth asking if any pieces are missing. At the top end some of the older Lego pirate ships in their original packaging, are highly collectable, and sell for $100's of dollars.
